All telehealth appointments at Soma Vita Wellness will be conducted using secure and HIPAA-compliant technology. Patients will need to have a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone in order to participate in telehealth appointments.
Before participating in a telehealth appointment, patients will be required to sign a written informed consent form. This form will explain the benefits and risks of telehealth, as well as the limitations of this type of care.
Telehealth is not a substitute for all in-person medical care. There are some services that cannot be provided remotely, such as physical examinations and certain types of procedures. All medical records generated from telehealth sessions will be stored in the patient's electronic health record (EHR). This ensures that all of the patient's medical information is available to their providers, regardless of how they receive care.
